The competent authority of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited has decided to offer BSNL free 4G SIM for upgradation/ swap/ replacement of 3G/2G SIMs with new upgraded USIM in the areas/ Secondary Switching Areas or part of SSAs where 4G network is being rolled out under GSM mobile services.
This new 4G SIM offer is a promotional scheme available for a period with effect from 1st July 2020 to 31st March 2021 in all the circles on PAN India basis, where BSNL 4G service is rolled out only.
As 4G SIM is already offered as free in many circles for new customers who join into BSNL as a new or via MNP on recharging with above Rs. 100 as First Recharge Coupoun, Now this new offer for existing customers giving Rs 50 4G SIM at free of cost seems the scenario was just running in favour of BSNL.
PAN India BSNL launching 4G VoLTE services in many areas across India, so if your area is covered with the high speed data service, hence you may avail this IMSI offer to activate VoLTE on your mobile on replacement with existing SIM card, where this offer is not required for thosewho already having 4G USIM card.
Can we provide POI/POA for replacement of SIM?
It is required, because as per the old process or with new KYC submission, it is necessary to submit the required POI/POA at service center where you get the replacement SIM.
Will BSNL charge the SIM cost after the promotional offer?
During the existing promotional offer, BSNL wpn’t charge for replacement in those areas where 4G VoLTE services launched.
